Holy Week has begun!
The three days, starting on Thursday is actually one big service that ends on Saturday. Attending both services gives you a good picture of the Christian story and is the highlight of the church year.
Maundy Thursday, 7pm St. Paul’s
At the heart of the Maundy Thursday liturgy is Jesus’ commandment to love one another. As Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, we are called to follow his example and care for one another. This is also the night to celebrate the start of holy communion.
Good Friday, 7pm at St. Paul’s
At the heart of the Good Friday liturgy is the passion according to John, which will be chanted. This story leads us from Jesus’ as a triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the cross. The ancient title for this day—the triumph of the cross—reminds us that the church gathers not to mourn this day but to celebrate Christ’s life-giving passion and to find strength and hope in the tree of life. In the ancient bidding prayer we offer petitions for all the world for whom Christ died
Breakfast starts at 8:30am
Worship at 10am
Here at Holy Trinity. Bring flowers to decorate the cross!
On this, the “eighth day” of the week, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. We celebrate this new creation in the waters of baptism and in the feast of victory. With great joy we celebrate this day of days, even as we begin the great fifty days of Easter. Filled with hope, we go forth to share the news that Christ is risen!
Joint worship with St. Paul’s every forth Sunday of the month. Odd number months here at Holy Trinity, even number months at St. Paul’s Lutheran, 1300 Tuolumne, Vallejo

Welcome to the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity web site!
We are a congregation that tries to practice the very best this Lutheran branch of the Christ vine has to offer people today. We practice Word and Sacrament (Communion) that seeks to be relevant to our lives. Worship, preaching, teaching and fellowship are the backbone of our life together. We are also a Reconciling in Christ congregation. In January 2012, the congregation adopted the following statement of affirmation and welcome:
Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity is a spiritual community that celebrates the gifts of God that empower us to engage in the struggles of life, to care for each other, and to serve Christ where we work and live. Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity is a Reconciling-in-Christ congregation. We welcome the participation of people of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, educational backgrounds, and economic conditions-all who want to join in community to honor God and be of service to people.
We hope you will join us for worship which begins at 9:00 a.m. Learn more about the congregation by exploring the page tabs above!
